Take Our Union Back From Edzo’s $640/hour Corruption & Sweetheart Deals

So, Ed is running AGAINST corruption and sweetheart deals?

Ha! What a joke.

Corruption first. We’ll start with the union-busting, extremely expensive law firm, Nelson Mullins he hired, which is all well documented by the Executive Board (thanks for forwarding, BTW).

He hired this anti-union law firm that has fought against IAFF locals and which advertises “union avoidance” on it’s website.

He used his private email instead of his IAFF issued email so the Board wouldn’t know.  He then told the Board he needed this “consultant” to help him “in the performance of his duties as GST.”

So he hired his buddy at a Boston-based union busting firm Nelson Mullins at $640/hour. His friend appears to be some sort of big-wig Boston lawyer. Yes, Boston, Boston, Boston.  It’s all he knows.

We’re told that when a Board member asked this anti union lawyer on a phone call if he’s ever worked with a union before, he said “NO”!  Never.

\So how exactly could this guy help the GST of a union do his job? Ed's friend has no idea what a GST of a union does. This is abundantly clear, according to sources, from Nelson Mullin’s invoices, which charge IAFF members tens of thousands of dollars for basic labor law research.

Really – your dues are paying for that because of Edzo’s corruption.

Didn’t matter to Edzo that Nelson Mullins had no idea about union operations (which is supposedly what Edzo hired them for) because he was lying to the Board about why he was hiring them anyway, according to several Board members.  He really hired union-busting buddy to “investigate” his own union.

Ignore for a second that what he did – hiring a union busting firm to investigate his own union - is treasonous. Wait, what? You can’t ignore treason.

It gets worse. He gave this law firm, which represents many of the cities and counties where we represent firefighters access to the most important financial and internal documents of our union.

Wonder what they’re going to do with those?

The investigation was clearly to give Edzo his campaign attack lines against President Schaitberger (just watch his videos) for an election challenge.

What President Schaitberger may or may not have done is for him to answer. But he’s not running. The guy is retiring. Yet, Edzo keeps firing away at him.  So cowardly.

So, since it’s for his campaign, naturally Edzo paid for his $640/hour attorney with his election funds? NOT!!!!

Our dues, all members dues, are paying for Edzo’s personal attack lawyer.

So far it’s cost us almost $300,000.

This is corrupt. So if you want to rid the IAFF of corruption, you can’t support Edzo. It’s that simple.

You have options. Don’t cower to Edzo and his cronies harassing phone calls (we’re all getting them). Support someone else to move our union into the future.
