Take Our Union Back From Edzo’s $640/hour Corruption & Sweetheart Deals

So, Ed is running AGAINST corruption and sweetheart deals?   Ha! What a joke. Corruption first. We’ll start with the union-busting, extremely expensive law firm, Nelson Mullins he hired, which is all well documented by the Executive Board (thanks for forwarding, BTW).  He hired this  anti-union  law firm that has fought against IAFF locals and which advertises “union avoidance” on it’s website . He used his private email instead of his IAFF issued email so the Board wouldn’t know.  He then told the Board he needed this “consultant” to help him “in the performance of his duties as GST.” So he hired his buddy  at a Boston-based union busting firm Nelson Mullins at $640/hour.  His friend appears to be some sort of big-wig Boston lawyer. Yes, Boston, Boston, Boston.  It’s all he knows. We’re told that when a Board member asked this anti union lawyer on a phone call if he’s ever worked with a union before, he said “NO”!  Never.  \So how exactly could this guy help the GST of a union do his

Leadership Doesn’t Suit Edzo

So far, we have received lots of confidential information about Edzo. Probably the most entertaining submission is Edzo’s penchant for tailor-made mail-ordered foreign designer suits and muscling everyone in the union to buy them from “his guy” who he flies in to take everyone’s measurements and pick their cloth.  Our leaker on this one says  this may be Edzo’s greatest accomplishment and only success story over 4 years as GST. [Getting a kickback on suit sales? Could this be linked to what’s going on in Houston? As the magic eight ball says, all signs of the baby blue and diamond plate logo match of Kelly and Lancton’s campaign logos point to yes.] If you’re supporting Edzo or are thinking of supporting Edzo because you think his accent is cool or because he never fully committed to doing his $300k a year job as GST and still makes IAFF members pay for him to commute while he continues to also fleece Boston taxpayers for a second salary (plus overtime) while riding his truck or becau

Hey 7th District: Can You Smell an Edzo Rat?

As our sisters and brothers in the great state of Washington begin making their decisions [ and if you’ve made yours already and have endorsed the rat, it’s time to reconsider ], some nice people confidentially dropped us this little 2018 video of who Edzo really is. Remember, this is coming from a guy who [rat-like] leaked his trumped-up charges of “corruption” to the Washington Free Beacon and the Wall Street Journal just for his own political gain. He’s a guy who our friends on the IAFF Executive Board say that whenever he gets called out on anything he immediately throws his staff (and sometimes past Board members) under the bus rather than own it. Why would anyone support this guy? He went into a district to campaign   against  an IAFF brother?  We all get running for office and supporting people.    But why is he always against another brother, tearing us down, finding fault in everyone else and never owning a fucking thing? Is that how leaders act? Let’s hope Washington State ca

Edzo the Ambusher

Apparently, when you start to tell the truth about Edzo's lack of character, his penchant for lying, his thuggish, and overall jackassy behavior, a lot of people have stories to send you that prove all of those things.  One of the first stories we received through our confidential link is a story that was, by many accounts, front and center when Edzo addressed the California Professional Firefighters during its recent candidate forum (which ended with a whole lot of endorsements for Mahlon apparently), and it goes like this:  Frank Lima and Edzo became fast friends when they came onto the IAFF Executive Board together in 2016. Such pals they were, they considered each other the ideal running mate in a future election for both principal officer positions.     Then, Edzo showed who he really is, how he “leads” by stabbing people in the back, how he ignores the Executive Board, IAFF policy and due process for his own political gain.  To the point, they had a falling out.  Edzo, who ha

He's a Waster, a Fraudster and an Abuser

Here's a little story about IAFF members dues money, Boston taxpayer money, and waste fraud and abuse. We pay our General Secretary-Treasurer over $300,000 a year to manage our hard-earned dues dollars and our union's budget.   Edzo takes that job so seriously, he does it part-time.   The rest of the time he’s playing Boston jake and commuting between Washington, DC, and Beantown and charging IAFF members for the flights according to his own receipts.   H e is raking in half a million dollars a year  with two big pensions coming to him - on the backs of the citizens of Boston and the hard-working members of the IAFF who he says he respects soooo much.  Yet he assumes  IAFF members should be paying for him to work as a firefighter in Boston and that Boston taxpayers should be paying for him to work as a GST for the IAFF ?  Edzo also talks about transparency like it's some God-given gift he and he alone can grant the IAFF. Where's the transparency on his IAFF member paid

“Edzo” - No Integrity – This is what you have to look forward to

Edzo spent three years praising General President Harold Schaitberger as the greatest leader our union has ever known. Then Harold said he intended to run for re-election. That’s when Edzo became unhinged .  Stabbing our union’s president, every previous GST and executive board member, past and present, in the back. He leaked his trumped up fake "fiduciary" bullshit to anti-union media.  He says from the stump he's not popular on the board because of what he's uncovered.  Says crazy shit like he's being "rifled" off the board.  Like he's some kind of martyr.     He literally believes destroying the union for his own personal gain is a good way to lead.  He has no fucking clue.  Edzo is unpopular on the board because he's a lying sack of shit who instead of raising his concerns with his elected DVP colleagues and allowing them to look into them, he went to the anti-union Washington Free Beacon and the Wall Street Journal. He also leaked to Eric La
